    Lots of economic data and events scheduled for today, and some with very high volatility risks associated.


    Upcoming:

    • Japan: December machine tools orders report will be published at 6:00 GMT. Domestic corporate goods price report will be released at 23:50 GMT. Machinery orders report will be released at 23:50 GMT.
       
    • France: December CPI inflation report will be published at 7:45 GMT, along with November budget.
       
    • Spain: HICP inflation report will be released at 8:00 GMT.
       
    • Eurozone: November trade balance report will be reported at 10:00 GMT. ECB President Draghi is set for a speech at 15:00 GMT.
       
    • United States: New York empire state manufacturing report will be published at 13:30 GMT, along with PPI inflation report for the month of December. Fed’s Esther George is set for a speech at 18:00 GMT.
       
    • New Zealand: Electronic card retail sales report will be released at 21:45 GMT. The global dairy auction is scheduled today.
